The book, which runs 250 pages, features paintings and photographic images of the courses that have hosted the “Big 4” major tournaments since 1950. The paintings are by Linda Hartough, world renowned golf course landscape artist and photographs are the work of Stonehouse Publishing founder and photographer Patrick Drickey. The cover is the 12th Hole “Golden Bell”, Augusta National Golf Club, from the original painting by Linda Hartough.

The book is a unique look at the courses of the majors. Besides the photographs and paintings, it includes brief histories of the events, as well as details regarding the courses and their preparation. The book will be a valuable addition to any golfer’s library, and a wonderful coffee table piece.

The introduction by Jack Nicklaus and a short tribute to course superintendents by Rees Jones set the right tone. “We wanted to pay tribute to these courses, these masterpieces of nature and design” Drickey said, “and to that end, I think we’ve succeeded.

Both Hartough and Drickey have been honored for their work by the golf industry, with images hanging in clubs and private collections around the world.

Linda gladly will sign and personalize books upon request.
